Free Job Program for 18-21 year-old NYers

GreenNet at Community Impact, in partnership with Clean Edison LLC and New Heights Neighborhood Center, provides FREE training and job placement in the green industry to jobseekers that are 18-21 years old, not currently attending school and low-income. While completing the program, participants receive unlimited metrocards and $100 bonuses as various stages are completed, plus help with job placement.

Do you want a “green job” in an industry that promotes environmental sustainability, and can offer you job stability, choice, and competitive pay (estimated starting wage of $14/hr, up to $28+/hr with experience)? Through the GreenNet training—which leads to the Building Analyst Certification—you will become qualified to work (and get help in finding a job) in the green industry in roles such as administration, analysis or construction.

The next session starts in June of this free 4-week certification, which includes: • Pre-training covering an overview of the green field, terminology and developing basic skills • Nationally recognized certification course and hands-on activities with Building Performance Institute instructors • Digital Literacy & National Work Readiness Certifications, which look great on resumes • Individualized job and college counseling as well as workshops and mentoring • Paid internship opportunities and job placement services available • Monetary incentives ($100 at multiple points) offered for completing stages of the program
