Dear Coach, Youth Leader/Pastor,
Almighty God Athletics is pleased to extend to you and to your team(s) this invitation to participate in our 1st Basketball Tournament “The Rapture”. This tournament will take place at Hamilton Metz Field Albany, E New York, Lefferts Avenue Brooklyn New York 11213 from Saturday July 2nd – August 31st 2011. The tournament is open to Junior High school boys (8th grade and under), High School boys (9th -12th), and Unlimited.
Enclosed you will find a team roster and registration form, a more detailed overview of the tournament and a copy of the tournament rules. The brackets will be filled on a first come first serve basis, so please return the registration form as soon as possible to assure your team a spot in the tournament. All team rosters must be received no later than June 19, 2011 so that they can be processed and included in the tournament Program Booklet that we are putting together. Late entries will be accepted after this date on a space available basis. Please be sure to include uniform numbers and put the players in numerical order on the roster form.
Once all rosters are received, a schedule will be drawn up and all participating teams will be contacted and given a copy of the tournament brackets with game dates and times as well as any additional forms and information. Mail all information to Tawana St.Paul at the above address. Your roster can also be submitted to me via e-mail agathletics@gmail.com. We have made every effort make our tournament enjoyable for all youngsters, teams, and fans that attend. Our primary goal of this tournament is to provide good competition, promote good sportsmanship, friendship and to evangelize.
